we've used in the past:
- Mixer 8 channel is all we usually need, needs to have eq
- Mics MC, Floater, VOG
- CD Player - queueable, able to play CD-R's and perhaps CD-RW's in CD-Audio format
- Cassette Player
- Monitor speaker(s), usually 2 wedges, self or amp powered
- Room Speakers - 2 can either be self powered, or amp powered, on stands
- Cabling to run from audio position to mics, speakers.
- Power runs as needed
- Adapter cables to deal with hooking everything up
- Graphic EQ, or Sabine processor for feedback
- If speakers are not 'powered', amps (separate for monitor and for house)
- We usually feed house mono, so we can feed out of the same amp for both speakers if it has enough uumph. Room size determines speaker and amp sizing. But the rooms haven't been that big, so almost anything works.
- Clearcom setup for everyone
- It makes it easier to wire things if we have a snake. 8 down 4 up is plenty unless we are also doing a band gig.
What's the half time show:
- If its DVD's of stuff again, ala trailer park.... we'll need 2
direct boxes to take audio feed from DVD and output it to the mixer, cables to adapt from DVD player to the direct box. Cables from direct box to snake or to the mixer.
